I have a bunch. They are still packed away from the move a few years ago, but some of those I remember are: Hearn Pontiac, Old Mill Pont, Ross Wemp Chev as well as others I have once worked at.

I started working at GM dealerships in early 1973. As an idealistic youth, I thought as a mechanic I would be working in a white lab coat with parts clean enough to eat off. How wrong I was! In September 1973 I started working in the parts department and , except for a couple of years here and there, have remained a GM parts guy to this day.

I'm sure I still have the list of dates worked at the dealers but can't remember where. They have all been in the Toronto area except for the past 5 years.

Going from memory:

West York Chev-Olds 1973, Hearn Pont-Buick 1973-1974, Herron Chev-Olds 75-77, Foster Pont-Buick 77, Ross Wemp Chev-Olds 78-79, Belmont Chev-Olds 79-84, North York Chev-Olds 84, Student at Humber College 84-86, from there my memory of the dates is unclear. Other dealers I've worked at: Midtown Saturn-Saab-Isuzu, Old Mill Pont-Buick, Briarwood Chev-Olds, Dean Myers Chev-Olds and others. Variety is the spice of life. Now working at Bennett GM in Cambridge.

Nice to have another parts guy here! I think that makes 4 of us. I know of 67 Custom but I forget who the 4th one is...

For me it was 1980 till the GM axe fell on us Dec 31, 2009. Still doing pretty much the same thing with no GM sign out front.

Hey Parts Dudes

I don't have any key fobs from our dealership in sask (would love to find one) Started there as a full time partsman in the fall of 66, left Debden in 69 and came to Red Deer and after 4 yrs of doing "other things" went back into parts @ Kipp Scott Pontiac Buick GMC Cadillac Jan 15 1973 and still there.

Couple of memontos I have from Debden is the original Invoices we used back then and an ice scraper that a cousin found in a truck that he purchased about 10 years ago and he gave it to me, love those two.
