I acquired an alluminum super t-10 recently and i'm trying to figure what it came from.
input is 3 rings so this comes up as wide ratio 2.64,1.75,1.34,1-1
13 04 065 903 on the main case, casting 6,30,75
13 04 066 901 on the tail stock, casting 8-5-75
13 04 097 901 on the shifter side cover
wk3052 punched into case beside cover ( warner gear, oct,30, 1975,shift 2)
16S417538 i think is partial vin, if so: 1 for chev, 6 for 76, S for st louis, rest i don't know. i'm thinking maybe vette?

I would say you're correct Steve, the S in the vin is Corvette.
want to trade for a 3:42 1st gear version? Probably not, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

my friend just put a viper 6 speed trans in his 51 buick to replace the super T10, i had asked if he was ever to sell put me on the list. 3:42 1st would probally be too low for a 427, but never hurts to ask.
Yes, but you could run a higher numerical rear gear for lower revs on the highway
Heres a different Super T-10
stamp on case is WH2662 cast iron case,
aslo on the case is stamped HT - 95 Q-160
Alluminum Tail Shaft
I believe the trans to be a 2.88 Y Ratio trans
now the odd stuff
Input shaft has 4 grooves, 19 teeth, 26 spline
Cluster Gear has 18-21-24-29 teeth top to bottom
when i search Cluster gear ,second row states 20,according to parts.
states gear should be 18 -20-24-29
ive counted many times and still come up with 18-21-24-29 on mine
no other tag ,so who knows what it came from

I wonder what the 4 grooves mean
here is a chart at the bottom of the page that will answer your question http://wrightconnection.net/trans-t10parts.php
