Well I took the Parisienne to her first car show, didn't win anything but I wouldn't have expected to, cleaned it up and slapped on a few missing pieces I scrounged from ebay and drove it over.

Good for you Robert. That is doing it right in the true car show spirit! It looks great ... from "barn find" to a car show in a few weeks! I would have been hovering around it!

It was a fun weekend, Friday night we had a cruise, and in keeping with the good feel we did a parade around the Seniors Complex, all the old folks really enjoyed seeing the cars.
we ended up gathering in the local Timmies parking lot for an hour or so then off to the community centre for a "smoke show".
Then on Saturday we had the car show, unfortunatly I spent to much time talkin and not enough time taking pics. A friend of mine snapped some pics so I'll see if I can get them and post them.
All in all it was a good weekend. The '66 mustang you see in the pic belongs to a friend of mine, we spent Tue, Wed, Thur, and Fri night getting it running, and a few minor adjustments on Saturday morning.
I find going to shows is not about the trophies. Most of the rare cars do not really get noticed by the average Joe. They look at the Mopars and mustangs, camaros, Etc. but Real car guys notice the one of cars at the shows. I am a nube at the site and have not yet figured out how to get my cars pictures on here but maybe someday. Rayj
