well, i have to put her up for sale, im sad but there is just no way i can bring it down to mexico, plus it would not be too great down here with all the speed bumps and crazy roads. It would cost me another 2 grand at least just to put air bags in and another tranny(2-speed glide not good for mountians!!LOL) I think down here i will get a moped for toolin around and maybe an old truck for something to play with (maybe i can find a late 40s or early 50s truck) I was asking $5500 obo. It has the original 283 and 2speed glide and i put a aluminum intake with new edelbrock 4-barrel carb on.(I have the original setup) It has been lowered as I cut the springs and put new shocks in.
The guy i got it from says he bought it from the original owners grandson and it was from lake louise and they were farmers. I have repainted it with tremclad spraypaint and there is no holes in the body and no bondo as far as i can tell (used the magnet).
I put a new carpet in, and covered the seats with mexican blankets. Car runs great, new starter and carb, needs exhaust put on and ready for duals. P.M me for any questions. thanks

i realized after that its a sedan but i had to get a friend to post it for me and i forgot to get her to change it, oh well, its four doors and theres a top so good enough, if there serious im sure they will either know or ask. And Carl, if you want i can make it a convertible, hardtop, sedan, whatever you want if the cheque is big enough!!LOL
when i come back the first of december Carl I might be looking for a place to store it. If you know of a good place let me know, I will even give you the keys, drive it whenever you want. I figure if I dont sell it right now then I might just store it and come back again next summer and figure out what to do.
Might as well store it Trev, nothing selling right now unless you take a "bath" on it!!!! Most people don't want a TOY this time of yr. & just have to put it away [if they have a storage spot] or they wait till spring. Sorry but that seems to be the "norm" right now.

yeah, your right on the money Pete, tough market and nows the worst time to try and sell it. When I left to come to Mexico the plan was to drive it back at some point, still might do that, but I really dont think I would really drive it much here. Its all up in the air right now, we'll see what happens come december.
there is an old car club that im trying to get more info on (i dont know my spanish to well yet) Its more the fact that were I am its not a big place, and most of the roads are cobblestone and very bumpy!! There would not be too much cruising here, one main road and theres alot of speed bumps! And... the drivers down here are crazy, especially in guadalahara where there are 3 million people!! YAY!! LOL!! Ive seen a couple old cars, and alot of vw bugs. I will try and get some pics up soon.
