1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 deluxe Big Block Coupe
I was expecting to see a 2 dr. sedan body style. For 1970 -72 the 402 was made available through out the line up. Prior to this you had to order an SS option to get a Big Block.
Even to this day many people think a 400 small block was offered in these 70-72 cars but it wasn't.
Funny the Chevelle wasn't offered as a sedan. You could also still get a Skylark 2 door post right up to '72. I assume the same goes for Cutlass?
True for every other GM A body except Chevelle up to 72.
I remember reading a small news article in Hot Rod or Motor Trend magazine back in 1970 when GM announced that they were discontinuing the 2 dr sedan in favor of the 300 deluxe 2 dr ht as the low line model.
