1969 Parisienne Convertible. Rolling chassis for sale.

Putting my rolling chassis up. If you have a decent body with the usual frame issues, then perhaps this might be the way to go. Pretty much drop an engine in, your body back on, and with the correct brake master you could be on your way...if only it were so easy, lol!

Convertible chassis. Had rust and was pro repaired. Sandblasted after and epoxy primed and painted. Inner oilsprayed. Front end rebuilt with Energy poly bushings. BB springs. Bilstein shocks. New Moog ball joints, Moog Tie rods, Idler arm, NOS centerlink. Moog offset upper shafts. Edelbrock tie rod sleeves. Arms blasted and poly painted. Perfect lower bump stops, new uppers. Needs a front stabilizer bar. Has poly links. New ACR quick ratio 12:1 steering box. OEM 69 Front disc brake setup. Includes rebuilt calipers. Hub converted for Corvette C3 rotor use. Braided flex lines. Trans crossmember setback for 700R4. Can be moved back to stock. Has a Disc/Disc combination valve fitted with new lines out to all 4 corners. New Russel anodized aluminium fuel line front to back with AN fittings. All new line clips. Rear end; 1967 12 bolt from an Impala SS. No miles on rebuild. New Moser axles, .5 studs. Housing blasted and epoxy painted. All new seals and bearings. New vent. New clutches, springs. Richmond 3.73 gear set. Big Spicer 1350 yoke. TA performance aluminium girdle cover. Brake lines routed on housing, braided caliper flex lines. 84 Eldorado disc brake caliperswith drilled and zinc plated 79 TransAm rotors. Rear suspension all blasted and poly painted. New GR9 bolts. HD springs with Airlift 1000 polybags. Bilsteins. UMI adjustable upper control arms and panhard bar.  Big Spohn performance rear stabilizer bar. New pinion bumper, perfect frame bumpers. Custom frame braces from the forward lower arm mounts to the upper forward on crossmember. Includes rolling quality Rusty 15x8 Rallys. Includes 2 stock drive shafts and spare control arms. Have receipts for most major components listed if requested. Chassis has the bodyshell on it at this time. Pictured with Edelbrock shocks. Nice wheels not included!

$2600

I think it'll work with 67 and up Todd. The only difference between those years might be the rear frame section. It might even work with 65-66.

I plan on parting the body out separate Carl.

$350 for the shell. Partial floor replacement, good firewall, perfect cowl and window channel. Needs quarters, trunk pan and intermediate panel. Includes a pretty nice quarter, one partial forward quarter. Partial trunk pan and a firewall section. Has a title, not in my name.

$400 for the doors. No rust. Includes glass, all hdwr and red panels.

$100 each for the hood and decklid. Good shape.

$60 each for the fenders. Need lower repair.

$60 for the front Valance.

Misc stuff to come.

Cheers, Mark

Wow Mark, that must have been a tough decision. You have so much time and thought into that project it must be hard to give it up. At least you are getting your instant gratification with your ride.

Mark, I find myself coming back to this thread to look at the work you did on your frame. What a thing of beauty! I wish it was a '64 X frame!

It also makes me sad knowing that you won't be finishing the '69, especially after reading your first post ... http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t14968688/hello-from-burlington/

You done such great work!

All best anyway, with your '69 sales, with driving and enjoying your '67, and with life in general! Darryl.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Yes, it's been tough deciding to sell off what was basically a dream. But I am buoyed by what a friend told me just last week. "Think of any monies lost through your labour or parts, as the cost of entertainment". And he's right. It's never really been work building this. Somtimes I swear the fun is in the build. The chassis was really like a big puzzle that taught and gave me more skill than when I started. I learned metalwork, welding, painting, and the black art of rearend rebuilding.  Entertainment and hobbies are never really about worrying about money, we throw cash in like it doesn't matter, and it really dosen't when your having fun. At least unlike gambling, this "entertainment" pays back on a lot of fronts. Maybe the chassis and some of the parts will actually see the road which is nice. Some of the best NOS stuff is going out to the best and rarest 69's on the site.

Another positive of this, is now I can do small projects on the 67, and actually have the skill and confidence that they'll actually get done, and I'll be on the road in a reasonable time. I plan on changing out the engine in the spring to my H0350 (if I dont sell that too!), and I have no misgivings that I'll be able to do it. It's nice knowing what I know now.

With that said, just being a part of the CP hobby, and being on this site is really what it's all about. We know we're into somthing different and special.

Oh, one more thing, I'll be making a generous donation to the CP, and really, thanks to Todd, I'd never have had such a quality, reliable and respectful place to sell these parts.

Cheers, Mark

You are sure right there as this being a good site for parts dealings.  I don't even remember how many things I have sold here now but 90 % of them I have been able to send out and tell the person the amount and then they can send the cheque.  Some of them I have told to wait until they receive it to make sure they are satisfied and then send the funds.  I got a cheque Wednesday from the guy in Texas who was looking for the radio and tailights and the next day got a message from him that he had gotten the parts.  Just like probably more than half the people the amount was for more than was asked.  What a joy to do business this way.

The honesty and friendship is priceless............

I was telling a member (at my home this morning) that the "best part" of buying my 66 Pontiac, was the friendship  between Andy and his family that has developped since 2006..  Not a day goes by, that we don't communicate..

I was surprised, that the member drove 3 hours (1 way) to pick up two emblems..  He was surprised, that I had offered to send, and if they suited he could pay..   I sold him some gold, this morning, and hes sending me a cheque...

This "stuff" is not leaving this earth, and we are  lol

When my lifetime gets short the friends I have gathered will be my treasure

Sold the chassis, bodyshell an some misc parts to Dan (rarechev). He drove down from Brighton this morning. We spent a couple of hours shootin' the breeze, and I can say he's a great guy, a true car guy to the core and great person to deal with! He'll get his wife's 69' 2+2 on the road just a little quicker now. BTW, I'll expect pictures of the build Dan!

Cheers, Mark.
