I can hardly believe we are entering our FOURTH year at Canadian Poncho! And what a great way to begin 2012 than with Bud Stephenson's fantastic 1966 Beaumont Custom. Bud's Beaumont has all the ingredients to make it an awesome musclecar. With big block power, a 4 speed trans and stunning red paint, what more could you ask for? Bud tells us more:
I decided to throw my motorhome on craigslist a few years ago, and just for fun added "or trade for GM musclecar". Next thing I'm negotiating with a guy for a swap, and he get's cold feet on my motorhome at the 11th hour, but now I'm keen on his Beaumont.... I am doing a frame off on a 65 SD, and it's taking way too long, and this guy is offering up this 66....and there it is....in my garage.
66 Beaumont Custom, 427 (transplant), M21 4 speed, 12 bolt 3:73 possi, Ferrari red with new black vinyl roof, new black interior, new chrome and polished stainless.
Was built in around 2005. Car is 100% rust free and straight . Not a show car, but a real nice cruiser. Run's and drives great, although it could use power steering and brakes, but you can't beat a big block for grunt .
I have all the bills from the restoration and even have the protecto plate and original hubcaps.
Thanks for your interest, and thanks a TON for Canadian Poncho! Keep up the excellent work.

Great 4th anniversary car! It is such a nice combination of red, black and chrome. Truly Canadian! Thanks for sharing your car with us Bud. I bet you drive her proudly!
I'd be hounding you to sell me that 66 Pontiac 4 speed console if I hadn't decided to put a bench seat in my car! That console looks right at home in your car.
