leaf spring removal

Im trying to remove my leaf springs.

I could get the rear off and the bracket off that is in the center

attaching it to the axle housing.

i cannot seem to get the bolt out of the front (under drivers side)

is it pressed in after tighting the nut was fun to get off but i cannot drive the bolt out.

i have the back off and the spring is free from the axel so ther is no pressure on it.

also the rear swivels that the spring attaches to (2 of them )

i can get one of them out but the other one ( closest to the trunk pan)

does not seem to clear the trunk pan.

does the seal on the other side have to come off to allow it to tip lower ???

hope this makes some sense

thanks..

Lefty...

That front bolt has likely rusted itself to the steel sleeve that runs through the middle of the bushing. I imagine you will have to use heat and destroy it to get it apart.

I ended up grinding the head and the nut off and then prying the spring out. Worked but was really messy.

T,

Same here just drilled several holes around it and it pretty much just fell out....

went and looked at one that was removed, i did nor realize the bolt was splined into the large dished washer now i just need
to free it from the mount and that should make it easier
