. Remember I told you I had 3 Firebird parts books .
While looking through them I realized that one of them , an early version , has all the part numbers for the 303 Pontiac Trans Am motor . You know , the one that was never installed in the T/A . The other 2 books do not even mention the 303 . Thought it was kind of neat .

The 303 was only released to Trans Am racing teams because engines were limited to 5.0 litres. This is why some Canadian teams were permited to race Firebirds with Chevy 302's .
