Any small block Chevy, at least up to the one piece rear seal changeover. After that, still fits some of them, it's hit and miss. It's just the short version of the PF35 that was the spin on that started in 1968.

I have an easy trivia question that applies to the PF25. I know a few of you will get it right away.

What was the original reason/application for the PF25?

My brother ruined the crank on his 352 in his old Ford when he used one of those. Instant plugging, full bypass almost immediately I hear.

 Wouldn't the first use be on a 1962 chevy II 6cyl?  Wasn't the 194 used in a 62 nova/chevyII/acadian?

PF24's fit all Pontiac Buick and Olds engines, not the Chevy, PF24 and PF30 are the same.

I think the 6 cyl used the long filter though. It had tons of room. The V8 had to use the short one to clear the clutch for that runs from the Z bar to the fork.

I was a GM parts guy in the early 1970's. The PF24's are for Buick and the PF30's are for Ponchos. The only difference was an anti drain-back valve.

If you want a long version of the PF25 look for a PF932(?) fits medium duty 366ci and 427ci. It was about 12" high.

And now there's one that's even shorter than the PF25 (which is discontinued). I get a kick out of the number they picked for the stubby little guy. It's a PF454!
