PONTIAC JURY

The reason the correct answer is NO is because it is simply the correct answer to the question that was asked.

IS THERE SUCH A CAR AS A 69 PONTIAC JURY ?

CORRECT ANSWER : NO There is no car as a 69 Pontiac Jury as Carl says the car was a 1970  model.

However the point has been raised that Pontiac did not produce the decal and stripe car so technical the answer is NO all round.

Yes there was as a matter of fact. They came out of Calgary Alberta from Stampede Pontiac and very low #'s. I worked with a fellow who remembers them very well. They were suppose to be the cousin to the Judge so to speak. Plain Jane 350 2 barrel LeMans dressed up with spoiler and Jury decals(nameplates). Some time back someone posted an original Jury ad from Stampede Pontiac. So yes ,they do exsist.

Ray. I assume you are saying no because it was a dealer mod not a factory model?

No, I think he means they had to be 70 models? Not positive on that but I think that is the intent.

original pics of ads of the day showed the 70 Lemans POST , with a 69 Judge stripe and a 69 rear decklid spoiler.

I have not seen another pic of a car like your friends with a 70 Judge stripe?  are there others??

You can come up with same answer [Ray's] to the "Black Panther' Camero [ Dealer built in Toronto, Gorries?] The Plymouth "Turtle" [ Pat Kemp's Eastway Chry. Scarb.] I worked there when they came up with that idea, most employees were from Gorries & tried to call it a "panther" but found out they couldn't use that name!!! I think any Dealer inspired car is not a "TRUE" model, & is, in a "GREY" area!!!!!!!!
