$1000.00

When I bought my 69 CST (it was nice enough to be worth this) I carried 15,000 with me in hundreds as the guy wanted cash. Its amazing how paranoid that makes you.

Just out of interest is this a devils face bill?  The original 54 issue bills had the Queen's hair on one side that looked kind of the face of a goblin was looking out it it.  They recalled them and they are worth quite bit more.

If I recall, they used those notes well into the '80's, even though other denominations got new notes in the '70's.

I had an employee call me to the tellers cage one time and ask me if this was real money, in all fairness to the kid she was about 20 and this was in the mid nineties. I decided I better give them all little seminar of currrency and went back as far as the King Edward/George type bills. Sure enough some old timer came in with a stack of 20's not long after.
