I recently purchased some 57 Pontiacs and these two hubcaps came with them. I'm trying to find out the year and approximate value so I can list them in the for sale section. I don't need them for my cars and would like to see them get used by a member if possible.
Thanks, Steve.

I've looked at the 55-56's and they seem to have 3 or more ribs as opposed to the 1 rib on mine. They would need to be replated anyways so they may just be better as wall art instead. I was just hoping someone might be able to use them for a resto.
Thanks to everyone but especially Beaumontguru and 427Carl for identifying the hubcaps. Now if I could just figure out that 17 inch artillary wheel I found at the dump . . . . . lol
Definately not a Canadian 1955 full wheel cover. 55 is a one year only design for the full wheel cover 56 is entirely different including the dog dish. The 55 hubcap had two series one with a red insert that was used up to a certain production number than changed to white after after a certain serial number car. The one you have is 47 -53.
I don't have the Canadian 1955 pontiac reference material, but they look like a set I have seen on a 1955 Laurentian. That doesn't mean they are correct for the car, but that is what I saw on a local '55.

The green 55 is a Pathfinder Deluxe. The full wheel cover was standard on the Laurentian series and optional on the Pathfinder and Pathfinder Deluxe series. The 55 wheelcovers are rare for two reasons, they are a one year production only and there is a design flaw that causes the wheel cover to constantly come off the wheel. If you compare a 55 Chev cover to a 55 Pontiac cover they are very close except for the center of the cover. The Pontiac cover is flat with printed letteres PONTIAC the same as the trunk lid and hood. The chevy cover center comes to a point with no letters.
I use dog dish hubcaps on my 55 when travelling and only use the full wheel covers at a show. I have been searching for these covers forever and in over 30 years have found only one nos one with a red insert and a pile of used ones. Occassionaly they show up on ebay but are always priced at $50 or above with shipping on top.
Mine obviously need replating. I wanted them to go to someone who needed them for there car if they were hard to find. If not they were going on the wall as car art. Should I list them in the classifieds or are they too rough?
