I had a great time at Can Am Show. There was an abundance of rare, high quality cars in attendance. I also got a chance to hook up with CP members Eric, Kevin, Brian, Chris and Joe. Here's some of the highlights:
I believe this Chevelle wagon was on Kijiji a few months back. It's super straight and sports a 396.
Here's an awesome one owner 67 SD396 4 speed car. It was a pleasure to talk to Rick the owner. He worked as a tech at the selling dealer and he did the PDI on the car. It has never seen snow and still has all it's original panels. I hope I was successful in convincing Rick to join the site!
He had problems with the factory tach and managed to have an aftermarket one covered under warranty- which he installed!
There was not one, but TWO COPO Chevelles sold new at Central Chev in London in attendance!
Another one owner Beaumont:
I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Lizon and seeing his awesome L79 Acadian.
This super straight Chevelle was for sale. I'm told the asking price was $24000.
Ultra rare Sprint SP 454
I caught a glimpse of this survivor as I was leaving. It sounded quite healthy. Not sure if it was an auto or 4 speed..
If you love Chevelles and Beaumonts, this is a show you won't want to miss.
I've seen that 67 SD before, at Bothwell for sure. How come no one noticed the factory headrests? And fatory AC on the sprint. We've sold a ton of kick panel speakers from
Custom Auto Sound and have never had a problem or complanit

Thanks for posting! Those Sprint/ElCamino's with the big blocks should all have run-flat tires. That one looks to be a beauty. I think that white Chevelle is screaming for some steelies with dog dish. And what can be said about the L79 that hasn't already been said. (Although I am curious as to how the aftermarket kick panel speakers sound. I'm tempted to do the same for my convertible.)

Why can't every car show be close enough to go to Wonderful cars, very nice COPO cars, Was that Yenko a Clone?
Geoff, about those kick panels, they are made of 1/8" ABS plastic, you would have to get them dyed to match your interior and it makes the speakers sound a bit hollow. I forget what some of my past clients paid for them but they also had to pay the return shipping because they weren't happy with the sound quality (its what happens when they buy a bunch of audio equipment first and then look for someone to install it for them). A suggestion from me is if you have a "Real" local custom audio shop that knows a thing or 2 about sound quality, is to get their opinions and options on what they can do for you. Then you have a few options to choose from, like your taste in sound performance, looks/style of finish and what will suiet your budget. Another option is that you can send me a set of factor kick panels for your car (it doesn't matter what condition they are in, so badly scratched is fine to start with) then I can modify those to still give you the use of the air vent, fit back in the car like it was meant to and be covered in vinyl to give it the quality look that matches your interior. About the head unit being mounted under the dash like that is a no no to a classic car now too, many companies make add on RF remotes (like in marine applications) so the radio can be mounted hidden inside the trunk and all you have is a remote up front , they even have some with displays on them too.

Through the years I've had four 67 SD396 cars two of them had headrests documented on the bucket seats-I recall about 600 chevelles that year with them (rare) wonder how many beaumonts
A guy from Welland used to own a 67 SD396 beaumont, black with headrests-had a 427 in it at the time of sale-went to St Thomas in the early 1980's wonder if it could be the same car ?
Todd, the 66 chevele has been on kijiji for a while was $34,000 then $32,000 most recently I seen $28,000 - someone went to see it and called a bunch of faults but it sure looks sweet there
and yes its crying for a set of dog dish and redlines/or mag caps

Thanks for the pictures Todd. I definitely would have enjoyed that show. I like the 64 2 door post.
Jerel, the owner of the 64 post has a 292 GMC engine under the hood. Cool car
I located that car for him back in the 1990's it was beige six cylinder, clean-he was listening to me talk about it to another guy at Calidonia-I had my 67 SD then-he asked me about it-I sent him in the right direction but he never seems to remember me now-seemed to be a nice guy
