63 Interior Question

Lets try this here.....

For some reason,I'm drawing a BLANK here......

Has anybody seen a 63 or EARLIER Parisienne, etc. with a (factory) BLACK interior?

My 64 C/S does, but was that the first year for black upholstery?

I know they had a lot of that checked stuff going on in 63... and grey was common.

I think you are correct, although I remember seeing somewhere that there are some bucket seat 63 cars??? Does that ring a bell?

That Unity 63 Parisienne ended up in my garage in Cowtown.

It has a black interior, buckets and console (automatic)

Any help you need regarding car/interior don't hesitate to ask.

Checked with NOS regarding covers for the 63 Parisienne Buckets....

it appears the buckets from the American Bonneville from the same year are the same.

You can buy them from NOS.

 OK....found my book.....we're in trouble NOW....wink

Might be interesting to see what the trim code is on your cowl tag.....because the parts book does NOT list black as  trim color option UNTIL 64.

AND.....I'm NOT rippin' on your car...I like it...BUT....the seats, door panels ,shifter and console look like 64....NOT 63.....(OK...just had another look @ your console picture....It looks like a 64 4-speed console....but has no armrest....)...need to do some more 63 research...still learning about them.....don't see that many of them around here......

Are the seat pleats die-electric or stitched....the grain (vinyl) looks different to me,as well....

Carl....can you EXPLODE this for us?
