What!? That is absolutely brutal Manny!!!!! Holy Frick I hope he comes through with a legitimate excuse and sends the engine right away.

I don't know if this helps but this is their location from their IP Address. Sorry I can't narrow it down further and I don't live in Vancouver to find this guy.

Ripped off by Isaac Upshaw of Whistler BC for an LS7

Looks like I have been ripped off by Isaac Upshaw ( custom_corvette)

Make the deal for the LS7 he is selling on the this forum , pay him $6000 three weeks ago , all kinds of text messages saying engine is coming , can never produce any tracking , excuses, excuse everyday about why it never shipped or why he has no tracking .

This clown is going to wish he never visited this forum

This is his cell number 604-906-1323

His email is customcorvettecustoms@gmail.com

I learned something this week. Canada Post will delivery parcels COD and collect up to $25,000 for you. Not sure an engine can go Canada post but lots of things can and avoid this type of problem.

So the fellow who bought the motor lives where? And the dirtbag that sold it is suppose to do bussiness out of Whistler?Shouldn't be hard to find, did you notify police, seems they would have interest. So the deuschbag only has an email address,no web site.I'll call directory for Whistler for this company I doubt it exists.Maybe can find address for this guy,do a little P.I. work with a fresh Tim Horton, double doublebiggrin

I went last weekend to Pittsburg to look at a 2011 Gmc Canyon for $21,000. Guy seems to be up right but wants the money wired to his account. My bank said once we send it its gone to the account number. Calling my bank to wire the money when I`m there can be an hour or all day. Certified cheques still take time to clear.I set up a master card with a $21,000 cash advance his bank wont accept it.Cant take over $10,000 in cash over the border. What a pain

You can take over $10.000 in cash over the US border. You just have to declare that you are and be ready to verify what you are going to do with the cash. Bring a copy of the add of the car you wish to purchase and all emails between you and the vendor.  US customs just wants to make sure you are not doing anything illegal with that amount of cash.

So,I learned that infact the scumbags phone # is in whistler,B.C. If you go on line and type in ,reverse number data base, there is a section, for 10 bucks you can get his information.Good luck.If someone gets it let me know.Or someone knows someone that works for Fido.

Carl , can you please pass this address on to the guy in BC on The Poncho forum .

I don't want him to do anything, just see if he can verify it for me .

Using the IP address and the longitude and latitude it points me straight to this address . The coordinates match exactly . He is using a static IP address which does not change . So I am fairly certain this is the guy .

1263 King Edward Avenue , Vancouver BC ,V6H 2A1

I want to call the police , but need to make sure .

The correct address is 1263 West King Edward Avenue,I've wrote down address and individuals name.I will pass along to my good friend who works at VPD headquarters. He also will have  this website information for his file info.Isaac has window of opportunity to correct this transaction,a short one. After this short window VPD will move swiftly.Balls in your court Isaac.

Manny,

I ran into a huge problem, the engine was stolen while waiting to be shipped, Im currently talking to the police as well as inscurance to try and resolve this one way or the other asap. If we cant recover the engine then I will refund your money! So sorry for the issue, Im super stressed out over this!

Isaac very sorry to hear that .. I demand a full refund by Monday 5pm est.. Mr Camus will be forward you his full wire info...
I have requested and requested the shipping info.. i ask you kindly to please forward the shipping info.. today is Friday and we have heard nothing for you or the shipper.. last time we heard from you was that we should look for the motor to be here on Tuesday or weds. those days have come and gone ... When you said you need the money wired you were very quick to respond and send in every detail of all your info so why is it so hard for you to send us all the shipping info and or answer our phone calls,,, this is really smelling like **** ... so understand our concern if you don't have the motor or haven't shipped it we would request you wire the money back to us... this will be the easy way for you to get out of this.. but if we don't hear from you soon we will be forced to contact your local authority in BC and report this as a Fraud case..... ,,, call me,,, here is my number..305-333-4445

Hey Manny,

The border is no issue as long as the customs docs are filled out properly. Have shipped to the US quite a bit so this is no issue. And sending freight would be the cheapest and quickest way to reach you guys in Florida.

That is really weird about your buddy being named Isaac as well, lol small world! I've attached some pics for you also.

Cheers,

Isaac

Hate to hear these stories. There is a guy in our area that likes to sell the same car to more than one person, or cars that do not even exist, just the picture. He was famous for taking scrap motors, painting them and reselling them as " ran good ". Our hobby has quite a few of these quick buck artists.

I've told this story before.   When I got ripped off by a guy on ebay for a $50 radiator (that's since been rebuilt and is in my convertible), I looked in the POCI roster to see if there was a member nearby the seller.    I called the member, told him my tale of woe, and he said he was used to chasing bad debts for a furniture store he runs, and would see what he would do.   2 hours later he called me and said he paid the deadbeat seller a visit, and the seller said he'd just shipped the item.   2 weeks later, the item arrived, postmarked a couple days after my guy paid him a visit.     In later discussions with my guy (we got talking about headroom in A body cars), he announced he was 6'5".   Nothing like a little muscle.

A buddy of mine had some chrome for his early 50's Buick at a chrome shop in Florida that was going under.  He hired a private detective to chase the part down and get it back to him.      So, there are avenues other than just sending e-mails.

If it makes you feel any better, how would you like to spend 5 X's what you spent on a motor, and have some guy phone you,(the call you been waiting for)thinking your going to get your car you waited a month for, to tell you he lost his load in Montana, and I don't mean getting lucky!Wait another month, calling on a daily basis, insurance companies, towing yards, spending hundreds of dollars in phone calls, not getting any action, then once it was settled a month later, drive for 35 hrs in 48hrs to go get what is left of your purchase, welcome to my world!furiousfuriousfuriousfuriousfuriousfurious
