1950-1953 'Pontiac' hood trim bezel retainer clip source?

The 'Pontiac' bezel that fits into the hood trim is held on with two rectangular metal clips, which appear to me to be very difficult to remove without breaking the plastic 'tangs' that protrude from the rear of the bezel.  Can anyone point me to a source of supply for new ones?  Or, in the alternative, is there a way to remove these without damagin the bezel tangs? Possibly some special GM tool?

any pics? on my 55 most of my clips and odds and sods i managed to get off a rack at napa. not sure of the company name but it was a full carousel of automotive attachment hardware.
