went searching through my stash of parts and i cant find were i put my manifolds i found my 64s but i have no idea were my 65 went so any help would be appriated
they slant back looking similar to the 425hp manifolds but they clear the center link being a rear steer set up, unlike 64 and earlier being front steer. standard 348 and low hp 09 manifolds along with truck hit the cross member on 65s, and yes i have headers for the wagon but not for the CS as it has A/C.

just curious....your 64 manifolds for sale?....are they the 21/2 in outlet?....i may have a line on the 65 manifolds but i wouldn't see the gent until this summer
im just bumping this one up , im still looking for info or a set when you guys and gals are travelling around
Post a wanted ad on 348-409 in the for sale forum and offer to trade 64's for 65's. And watch there for some to come for sale. Someone may also see them on Craigslist in the US and point you at a set. I think they only sold a couple of thousand early 65 409's, then converted to the 396.

Mahone Bay, NS Still not old enough to need an automatic
I just thought when people are going south to swap meets , and we also have some American friends on here , its not a big rush since I have headers and im still changing the pistons and rods in both but at some point I would like to finish at least one , ill try what you suggested too
all my manifolds are 21/2 but they are truck and have several I know they are not cheap and Im prepared for that , but its hard to hang ac off of headers plus its only a 340 horse
You might try Ivan at Perry's Projects in Gibbons. He does run across some pretty rare stuff at times. Otherwise this will be tough. My brother never tosses anything so when he put the 65 back together it still had those. He came to realize later how lucky we was to have kept them.
tell me about it, I think they ended up in a different cars trunk that went by by. im getting motivated , im order new pistions for both the wagon and the custom sport, long rod light weight rods , then I can start assembling this duo. ive got headers for the wagon but the custom has ac so manifolds it is.

hi ...today i talked to a fellow selling lots of 409 parts...he has 65 manifolds forsale..$600.00 + the ride....if you are interested in them i could go back and take pictures..of them...he also has original manifolds for 1964 409 (header-style)+ 2 or 3 complete 409s for sale...clearing out all his 348 - 409 stuff...also what do you think is a good price for stock 409 2 1/2 in. exhaust manifolds for a 1964?(those are the 1's i need)---Bob
I haven't been keeping up with prices lately but $600 for a set of 65 manifolds sounds like a great deal. They are very hard to find.
The 64 high performance manifolds are less rare but I don't think you could go too far wrong if you can get them for $500 or less.
