Missed this one!!! If you are just doing the M/cyl. to dual set up, find out what size bore the org. M/Cyl. is then measure up the mounting pad & bolt pattern. Now you'll have to some digging to match it up. If your car is a Cdn. Pontiac I'm pretty sure 54 chevy stuff will fit!!! National Chevy Parts has a Dual kit for 49 to 54 Chevy for $345 US all the pcs. to do conversion. www.49-54nca.com is the web!!!! I've used them for alot of parts for my 52 Cdn. Pontiac. 651 778 9522 St. Paul Minn. Pete

yeah the frame is the same for the cnd pontiac and the american chevy as well as the drive train. the american pontiac has a different frame altogether.

Just for info,

the canadian pontiac frame look alike as the chevy one, but many differences can give headheache, at first the brake. The parking brake system is completly different from the front to the trans tail. From the tail to the rear is the same. For the service brake, the front brake line are the same, but NOT the rear part. On chevy they are on the right side, pontiac on left, hole and bracket are reversed too. The exhaust is completly different, and on the other side. The front crossmember is pure canadian pontiac, and side trans/motor mount pure canadian pontiac too. The front steer axle is the same as the diff and rear spring. The rear crossmember exhaust bracket, canadian pontiac only.

Just to let everyone know, the upgrade from national Chevys is a direct bolt in with no major issues. I now have dual brakes. It took about 6 hours including all new lines. They supply stainless steel lines which are very hard to bend. If anyone wants tips on how I did it, I'd be pleased to help. I'll post pics when I can today. Cheers!

Glad it worked for you "FINK", don't know where you are as no BIO filled out & no town or Prov. in your signature [which helps people out] Nat. Chevy has "tons" of parts that will fit the 49 to 54's My Interior came from them + a whole lot more in w/strips, mirrors etc. for the 52 PonchoPicture 234.jpgPicture 235.jpgPicture 241.jpg
