Engine is ready to be put back in, just waiting for my motor mounts to come in the mail. Cleaned up the wiring and painted the firewall and braces...just a matter of time before the rest of the car looks this good :)

Lucked out with a guy in Mississauga ON had a set that were on the shelf since the 70's. I did see a set on ebay not long ago and I think one of the members has a set. I'll do some digging and send you a message
Your car is really cool, especially the time and effort you took on the engine to get it looking the way it did in 1957. Coincidentally I saw a nice '57 Laurentian today, have a look....
I try to get photos of Pontiac and other GM dealers when I am out at shows and cruises, they are a great piece of history. It must be something to see a car sold from where you worked all these year later.
I can still recall the radio Jingle:
York Mills Pontiac Buick...On Yonge below the 401.
Ray - you forgot..........."Take a trip to the nicest place in town
"Where the customer wears a crown....."
I too look for old used car stickers.......I recently reproduced the Gorries sticker
as I worked there after York Mills.........a friend has repoped "Belmont"....
maybe we could start a new trend....tacky used car stickers.......I've sold some Gorries
stickers for $10.

It's been a while since my last update. I've been busy this winter away with the army, but I'm back now and spent the weekend installing the parts I've collected since the fall. First on the list was a new under dash, starter wiring harness and a B&M lock up controller. Next came the stainless lower dash trim. I know it's not correct for my car, but it was one of those features that I saw and had to have. also swapped out the old sun cracked rear lenses for nicer ones.
groovy. A term that came about in the 60s. It means "excellent", "tubular", "awesome", or "cool". Guy 1: Dude, I just bought The Beatles' White Album on CD!
Will, she is looking sweet. Continued good luck with your classic 57 Pontiac. Like yourself i love 57 Pontiac's, so if you require any info or advise, please feel free to PM me. Cheers. George.

Hello Will, i was wondering if there was any further updates on your 57 Pontiac. I had the pleasure of meeting your mom and dad and their 70 Chevelle SS at the New Dundee Victoria Day car show. Your dad and i had a good car talk and there is no doubt about how proud your folks are of you. Continued good luck with your 57. Cheers. George.

Just a quick update. My wife, with her great trading skills managed to trade a set of S10 rims and tires for a New set of Coker Classic white walls on rims. Dismounted them at work the next day, painted them that night, went in early the next morning and remounted and balanced. Had them on the car that evening for the Saturday night cruise :)
Will, she is looking sweet with the wide whites, you got the better deal for sure. Will, nice to see yet another 57 Pontiac on the road, that green one parked next to you at that Can. Tire cruise. Any info on that 57 Pontiac parked next to you. By the way i met your parents at The New Dundee car show last month, they had their 70 Chevelle SS and we parked next to each other. I enjoyed talking to your folks and by the way, they are very proud of you. Here is a pic of my 57 with your parents 70 next to it. Cheers. George.
