Hey all, I am in the process of putting a parts list for my rear diff.  Just wanted to be sure that these cars are same as Chevelle, 8.2 GM 10 Bolt, NOT Pontiac correct?  I am having a hell of a time finding any numbers stamped on it to help me figure it out.

Its a 64 Beaumont 4 door sedan with C-Clip Axles and what I believe to be 3.08 Gears no Posi.

Look on the driver's side axle tube for the codes. You will have to clean it pretty good. The codes should be on the front of the tube.

It should just be a 64 Chevelle 8.2" diff, you are correct.

Hi guys,

Apologies for highjacking this old post.

I finally got around to finding the code on the axle tube of my T400 rearend.

Can one of you guys translate for me ? I expect pretty docile highway gears in there.
