What could be wrong when my column shifter lever is numb/loose? The tranny works otherwise fine. It changes gears perfectly but the lever has only park where it sticks. The car is 1964 Pontiac Parisienne with PG. Iīm new here on this site tho i have been randomly checking out cool canadian classics here.
thanks! i was thinking somekind of linkage problem and hoping that it aint anything with the tranny. iīll have to check things again when i dig the car out of snow.
If you have any other pictures of your car to post it would be great.
Just get in there and wiggle stuff around and look at what is hanging your "shifting" up. It could be anything that Mark (cdnpont) said.

Whatkind of 327cid engines were used in 1964? I assume they are somewhat similar to chevy impalas. So 250 hp to 300hp versions possibly? I have one project engine laying around waiting for to be assembled. I havenīt looked closely yet for any block numbers or anything. At least i was told itīs 327.
