1966 Beaumont Sport Deluxe 327 for Sale

Greetings.....i am new to this forum as a great friend of mine who passed a few years ago has a 66 SD which has been sitting in storage for probably over 20 years.  He always wanted to redo it but never got to it prior to leaving us.  Anyways his family has now come to the decision to part with it and have asked me to help them in getting a value as well as best venue to sell it.

Here are some specifics about the car........it has a 327 (dont know if it is original or not)........I believe it is a 2 speed auto......2 door HT.........63,000 on the odometer (again dont know if it is original).........it is black in color.........I had it running last year and itwas registered and driven for a bit in Manitoba as his widow drove it for a few weeks rekindling some memories..........there are a bunch of extra 66 parts available as well......

It was recently rated as a "solid #3 driver" so it is decent but needs work.  I had thought about taking it on myself but I am much more of a bike guy and have a couple projects already on the go.

The car is in heated storage in Wpg.  I do have some pics I could forward if anyone can assist me with this information.  As I said I am doing this as a favor to his family.....I am not a dealer or someone who does this for a living..............

I have spent some time following this forum and it is obvious that this would be the place to ask questions in regards to these great cars.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and thanks for reading this......I noticed that i screwed up and posted on the "non canadian" list........I do believe it is a canadian car as he had it for decades in Winnipeg

regards

lb

What he means by that is anything advertised here must include a price.

I moved it over to "Canadian Pontiacs for sale" as you suggested.

If you have the pictures saved on your computer, just click "reply", then at the bottom of the reply box you will see "attach images". Click on that and select however many pictures you have, then click "submit post".

Welcome LB
As per site rules a member must have 10 posts in other forums before posting items for sale. A price also must be posted. In this case I'll allow you to offer the car for sale if a price is posted. I'd also prefer photos be posted.

Thanks
Todd

There's one on e-bay right now. It is a Sport Deluxe with a 327 and looks unmolested except for door mounted speakers. Link: e-Bay

Welcome to the site Lb.

I think it's fair to say that for the most part, the members here prefer to see either... unmolested versions of the cars... era correct molestations... or nicely executed resto mods.  While this 66 may not fit into any of these categories, it does look like much of it is reversible.  (Bolt on the correct steering wheel, lose the tach, get a new dash pad, pop in a radio, put on the proper valve covers, hide some of the wires...and this car would present itself soooooo much better.)  If that is the original 327, it would be worth confirming.

They all need loving.  Good luck with the sale.

03.....thanks for your comments and that is why I searched out this group as it is obvious the knowledge, the skillsets, and the passion for these cars. It would be easy to dump this car to someone who really didnt give a "rats ..." but that wouldnt be fair to a great vehicle model, the family or my passed friend. My hope is we are able to find someone passionate about these vehicles who would make it into a great driver.
I do appreciate the comments good/bad from everyone on this site and it is nice to engage with passionate people about their rides.
regards
lb

Well,

I think you're not too far off at $12900. That being said..it's a tough market esp in MB with there being so many cars on the market. For that price if I had the time, money and space I'd be interested. Good luck with the sale and well done for being a stand up guy and trying to do a solid for your late friend's family!

Agreed. Good luck with the sale, the car looks like a great starting point to either restore or resto-mod.

What may help make a sale easier is to get GM Canada documentation, or if it has any original documentation or history/bills etc. There's a topic on the site on how to get the GM Canada documents.

That's great Lyle, I'm happy for you and Jan. Hope the new owner enjoys the car.

That is excellent Lyle, and although I'm sure you have been thanked for your efforts in selling the car, I want to thank you for helping out like you did. I am sure you put a lot of your valuable time into helping her make a deal (time you could have spent at the cottage!)

By the way, do you know if the new owner is local and is someone we will see on Canadian Poncho?

And for the record, when I went to check the car out on Thursday evening, I listened to what sounds to be one HEALTHY 327!
