Greetings.....i am new to this forum as a great friend of mine who passed a few years ago has a 66 SD which has been sitting in storage for probably over 20 years. He always wanted to redo it but never got to it prior to leaving us. Anyways his family has now come to the decision to part with it and have asked me to help them in getting a value as well as best venue to sell it.
Here are some specifics about the car........it has a 327 (dont know if it is original or not)........I believe it is a 2 speed auto......2 door HT.........63,000 on the odometer (again dont know if it is original).........it is black in color.........I had it running last year and itwas registered and driven for a bit in Manitoba as his widow drove it for a few weeks rekindling some memories..........there are a bunch of extra 66 parts available as well......
It was recently rated as a "solid #3 driver" so it is decent but needs work. I had thought about taking it on myself but I am much more of a bike guy and have a couple projects already on the go.
The car is in heated storage in Wpg. I do have some pics I could forward if anyone can assist me with this information. As I said I am doing this as a favor to his family.....I am not a dealer or someone who does this for a living..............
I have spent some time following this forum and it is obvious that this would be the place to ask questions in regards to these great cars.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and thanks for reading this......I noticed that i screwed up and posted on the "non canadian" list........I do believe it is a canadian car as he had it for decades in Winnipeg

Welcome to the site Lb.
I think it's fair to say that for the most part, the members here prefer to see either... unmolested versions of the cars... era correct molestations... or nicely executed resto mods. While this 66 may not fit into any of these categories, it does look like much of it is reversible. (Bolt on the correct steering wheel, lose the tach, get a new dash pad, pop in a radio, put on the proper valve covers, hide some of the wires...and this car would present itself soooooo much better.) If that is the original 327, it would be worth confirming.
They all need loving. Good luck with the sale.
