What about the Plymouth Valiant being called a Chrysler Valiant in Canada in the early 60s? I think the Beaumont was proudly a Canadian car and was highlighted as such. They were sold as a cost-effective equivalent to the Tempest / Lemans / GTO.

 How does the MOT classify them when the Acadian name dropped off the radar? "Everyone knows they are Pontiacs." No resolution for this one....
