1954 pontiac laurentian

Finally time to put the old 54 up for sale. This is not a fire sale or a must sell but maybe someone out there can take this car to the next level it deserves.I have had it for about 5 years and enjoyed every minute.I have done quite a bit of research on the car with a lot of help from the fine folks on here.First off it is a 1954 Pontiac laurentian 4 door.It has its original 239 flathead with about 75,000 original miles.i have had the motor out when I repaired the transmission and had the oil pan off.Checked all the cylinder walls and they were like new.So other than a bunch of new gaskets it is still original. The rebuilt list includes the starter, generator, water pump, carburator. It does have the optional oil filter from the factory and new oil hoses. The trans is a powerglide and was broken when I got the car.Turned out the problem was a broken low reverse lever which was repaired and the trans rebuilt with a complete rebuild kit.It has worked flawlessly since.I do have a brand new lever in a box as well. The car was repainted about 20 years ago in its original pueblo tan color. It does have scuffs, chips and scrapes from its years in staorage but still presents well.Yes it does have some dings and a bit of bondo from years ago.The good is that I have almost all the panels to redo the body and they are included.Inner and outer rockers, rear rocker jut out for drivers side.wheelwell arches, rear quarters. It has one rusty floor brace but I have it on order now.Floor had one loonie size hole on the drivers side, has been patched.Other than that the floor was very solid. What have I done to it?Well heres the list, engine compartment detail and paint, rebuilt front suspension including king pins, tie rod ends, shocks, front brakes.New exhaust from engine to rear, rear shocks, brakes,e cables.New carpet, new nos bumpers, rechromed bumper guards and crossbar, new taillight bezels, new door chrome polished out on rear doors. The car will come with a bunch of paperwork, factory manual, owners manual, sales brochure,gm history report, article explaining the Canadian Pontiacs for 54.The car is a very low production as the gm report verifys.it is the 13th car off the line for 54 and number 2 for the laurentians. The interior is all original other than the carpet.Headline is very good, seats and door panels have some water stains and some cracks in the vinyl, hey its a 1954.I also have a can of the correct engine paint from bill Hirsch auto.Just a fun driver car that gets a ton of attention wherever it goes.It has won a few small town car shows but I don't really consider it a show car.I would love to see it go to a place that will preserve the car, plaese don't tell me your going to paint it black with flames and a smallblock chevy,i'll keep it thanks. If it sells to a great home fantastic if not I will just keep working on it and driving it.I think the only thing that doesn't work is the dash lights, and the gas gauge has been acting up a bit lately.,but very minor stuff. The car has some very rare options like the factory spotlight/mirror combo, even sporting its original t3 headlights.Asking 8000.00
