Need some electrical help

I think I have a new problem on my 64cs. 1. I can turn on my heater blower through all speeds without the key on?  2. My turn signals will light up without the key on.

3. The accessory on the ignition switch does not work, the run and start position are perfect.  Any ideas.

Have you done any work on the car lately, maybe changed or disturbed something?

If not, it sure sounds like a problem with the switch itself, feeding circuits power that would not normally be powered with the key off.

Know anyone close to you with a 64 that you could borrow his ignition switch and just plug it in to your's to test?

Thanks Carl, no changes to the electrical except replaced my signal flasher when the original stopped working. I read on other sites that the turn signal switch could cause problems and mine is a Tilt wheel car so will be easy to remove and clean up inside. I will try and trace the accessory wire from the ignition switch today.

Thought I had it fixed went for a short ride and got smoke from under the dash, seems like it happens when brakes are applied for a period of time. Fuse is blown and left siignal will not work now. First electrical problems with the car, guess I have to search further for a short.

Well an update on the 64cs. I removed the fuse box and found the red and purple wires melted together, not a pretty sight. So I phoned Dave the Tin Man and he has a complete interior wiring harness for a 64cs 4sp car. Thanks so much Dave I know when I install it the car will be back on the road again. Tin Man you rock.
