Hydramatic trans

I have an auto trans from my 62 Bonneville (not a slim jim). I got a thousand miles on it this summer, the oil looked clean and metal free when I drained it. It started making a funny noise at higher rpms my last road trip. The noise was not really noticeable without weather stripping on my passenger door wink

Are you sure it's not a bad u-joint transferring noise thru the trans?

99% sure its the trans. I am running a different set of gears and a 4 speed auto or I would get it looked at. Will hold onto it for a bit
