Southwest of me about 45 minutes there is a small wrecking yard that is cleaning out. The owner plans to do just large trucks for parts, as well as buy, sell and fix pickups. I've known him a long time and he let me in yesterday to poke around. I never bought anything but had fun all the same. A lot of this stuff has been there for over 25 years. have put these in their 73-87 pickups
I know guys have put these in their 73-87 pickups. Not sure what years fit exactly. If anyone has an interest, I can call and get a price.
Lots of old school bus and container storage. At one point he said he had over 100 bus bodies with parts in them. A lot of that is gone now, but he likely is still at around 50.
Couple of dealer tags. Does anyone know the history on Gateway? I recall the name but can't remember where they where.
I've always gotten along well with Harold but I know I've heard he doesn't give stuff away. However, he's also had some hard to find stuff over the years, like a NASA/NACA hood for a Grand Am that ended up at Pascal's.

I was lucky enough to have Carl take me for a tour of this yard when I visited. I couldn't believe what I saw- Chevelle SS, wagons, Buick GS, lots of Firebirds etc. Very sad to hear all this is going to be crushed.
The 68 396 SS is still there, but stripped, Vista Cruiser with a/c still there, GS has the engine in it still (350 4 barrel), Firebirds are still there, "was" a nice 65 Pontiac front fender, straight and rust free but the bottom rear is in the dirt and it now is likely soft in that area, one nice 69 front fender, tons of big block truck parts (366/427 cranks into a 454 make a 427) and just about any 60's date coded starter, alternator, distributor you could ask for. I know I'm forgetting some stuff.
Oh, 70 or 71 GTO shell. It was a power window and A/C car, that stuff is gone but the power trunk setup is still in it. If anyone wants it, I could likely buy the power trunk stuff for 25 or 30 bucks I am guessing.

I can't recall. I know I got the hood and air cleaner off it over 20 years ago. The hood had minor front damage. I think I paid crazy for that, maybe something around 150 bucks total for both pieces!!!

I remember your trip there. The Super Duty scoop is gone ...
