That really sounds like the Jeff who used to be at Eddie Belfour's shop in Michigan. I have heard he moved back here and is managing an Auto Value parts store about 40 miles southwest of me. I haven't spoken to him yet but I get over there fairly often and plan to stop in to meet him. He used to post here the odd time as "cjfries" or something similar to that.

That's him Carl..........the article mentions him managing a Mopar restoration shop in Michigan where
he eventually brought and restored the Beaumont, it had belonged to his cousin in Manitoba.
It also says he now manages a parts store in southern Manitoba.

Yep, that's me guys. Haven't been on here for about 8 months. Was busy closing the shop in Michigan, moving, starting the new job etc. The pictures were taken about a week before we moved. Settled in now & back enjoying being closer to family. I had intentions to post restoration pictures as I progressed but never got to it. Was working pretty hard to finish car before I made the move. Hope you guys enjoy the article & pictures. Everyone that remembers my Dad, brother, & cousin having the car are all enjoying the finished product.

I'll be stopping in to meet you one day Jeff. The GM parts manager next door to you is a buddy so I go see him once in a while.

427 Carl Thanks for posting the article! Hey Carl Thanks for the info on Chapters book store in St. Vital. They had 10 copies on the shelf, got my nephew to pick some up. Red Rat, check out the specs on the engine build & that should get you over 500 ft/lbs of torque. Engine made 532 ft/lbs starting at 3250 rpm, made well over 500 till 5500 rpm. Peak torque was 545.7 at 4000 rpm. Engine top rpm is 6000. With a professional shop like Koffel's doing the machining and helping with the build, the results maybe better than some. These guys have built thousands of engines over 50+years in the racing business. 1 mistake on the engine block in the article is that I used a Gen V block not a Gen IV like the article states.
Jeff hasn't logged in here for over a year. I see him every few weeks when he comes around to our dealership making his sales calls. I have yet to see his car and he seldom does shows with it he says. I'm trying to encourage him to bring it to Garden City this weekend as he's never gone to that show yet.
