Was down in my crawl space and saw the torque straps that were on my car when I got it,just wondering if these were put on by someone or factory?Should I put them back on the car? ( Just thinking ahead ).
If so, a dealer put them on to satisfy one of the biggest recalls GM ever had, at least in those years. Pretty cool stuff, I'd save them and use them if I were you.

I think the one in the foreground would be the left side. That long gray bracket with the two bolt holes would line up with the alternator bracket I believe.

Did they come on the cars old ? Nothing like getting a new car with old parts ! I would hang on wall but looks like they take a 3/8 bolt and my house is built out of toothpicks.
