66 rear sail panel question

Hi guys,

Got my rear sail panels removed as they never fit very well and wanting to clean this up. Question is behind the sail panel was heavy cardboard which seemed to be like an insulator? When pulling mine out they pretty well fell apart as they are original. Any idea if these are necessary in behind the sail panel, if so...where can I get new ones???

Thank you,

Tony

Thanks Dale, appreciate it. It wasn't thick insulation, it was just cardboard just like the sail panel. I'm thinking of not putting it back in. Please let me know. PS, bought some seatbelts from you guys, recently....very nice.
