RE: 66 acadian SD resto ( painted! )

Well good news-bad news. Got the car painted, base turned out perfect but when I was doing the clear the exhaust fan let go (motor bearing or blade?) Vibrated like #$@t sending down dust. So.... more wet sanding!cry But it did turn out nice other than that.hmm If I pissed her off that much Dan, I'd be the one outside sleeping under a big old cedar tree.biggrin

Awesome! Good job, too bad on the dust. But don't kid yourself, you were going to wet sand and buff anyway.
So now you have to. A few more beers and some elbow grease.

I can't believe there was a time in my life when I didn't like that colour. It's embarrassing to even admit it. It looks SO good Jim.

Thanks guys and I do think it's a good excuse to have a bud over for some sanding and beer. That paint gun sure got heavy by the end of the night.

After that earthquake yesterday Jim,

be happy you painted the Canso a few days ago

and only had dust to contend with... it could have been a real disaster,

had you painted it last night.

Had just come up from downstairs when all of a sudden the house shook like crazy for about 5 seconds, all my furnace ducting sounded like thunder from vibrating and the dog took off under the bed and wouldn't come out. At first I thought something blew up downstairs but nope just an earthquake (no damage)and yes the paint would have turned out alot worse.
