Oh the plastic...seat covers...remember those well as a kid.

Dad driving his family through New Mexico,Arizona and California in his new 60 Strato Chief with temps at 104F...

no air of course (who needs air in Sudbury Ontario in 1960?) .

Felt like skin being peeled off your legs when you moved.

It did save the seats though........and looked great...for the next owner in 1968.smile

Remember my Dad saying..."who the hell was I saving the seats for?"

Time capsule for sure.
Something wrong with the scratched side. Wheres the chrome or the holes for it.
Little pricey.

Maybe it's the second time for the 1/4 panel vs. garage door?

Nice find! Notice the Canadian air cleaner that looks more like a Pontiac part than a 1964 Chevrolet part. Also the smooth valve covers without the Chevrolet script. Those valve cover decals are correct. The side with the scratch still has the side moldings just visible at the top of the picture.

Infact, i like the "plain" malibu MUCH more than an SS model,  and i also like the Saddle tan,  i have 2 saddle tan cars myself.  so neither of those would affect the buying or the price for me
