Cigarette lighter doesn't work

When I push on the knob it doesn't stay in. The socket works fine as I've used it for GPS and other electronics, no problem. Does anybody have a spare know with coil for a 67 Parisienne?

LOL!!!  Never smoked in my life!  Actually I tried it because at a birthday party at home we had no matches to light up candles so my bright idea of using the car's lighter didn't work either!

I guess I would just like to get everything to work as it was meant to.
