That's what I heard on CBC yesterday. I know some of you folks are close to that already. This time the blame falls on the weak Canadian dollar. Funny, I don't remember paying $1.55 when the Looney was only worth 85 cents compared to the US dollar. It's currently $1.39 here in PEI
I passed a station with line ups tonight at 133.9 here in Toronto. Thank God I saw CBC expose the big oil companies on Market place over a year ago when they proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that 91 octane is useless and I stopped putting that in my Caddy, never missed a beat and saved me 14 cents per.
The oil companies float these numbers out there just to get people softened up and used to it before it actually hits them. We should pick ONE oil company and totally boycott their products for six months. I bet that would get their attention.
$3.34 US gallon in Kansas when we were there on the weekend.
Gee, good thing we sold the Fleetwood and got a 3.8 Buick. Just when I was going to start having a bit more left from each paycheque due to the 10 mpg increase with the new car, I'll pay it all back to them once again as they rip us off even more.
And I'm sure the gas price will not fluctuate (as in INCREASE) at all just before the May long weekend...............

I curious about the Octane report too Ray. When I had my 97 Regal GS with the supercharged 3800 I had a knock retard gauge. It measured how much the engine was retarding the timing due to spark knock. It was high on reg fuel (which wasn't recommended) and low on Sunoco Gold.

I guess the boat won't going too far from the dock this summer! It will be .20cents per litre more than road price.
I got rid of the twin engine SeaRay and put a single big block460 BayLiner in its place. It's going up for sale soon as it hits the water.
May have to give it up again until I can retire and get a sailboat

I have not put the jet skis in the water in 5 years because of the cost of fuel back then.
