Grt Danes I believe a 17x8 will hit the leaf springs and inner fenders on the rear, 17x7 will probably have clearance issues on the lower front fender area and the front sway bar.

I think on the rear you need at least 4.5 backspace, 5" backspace will work if you remove your upper diff bumpers. I dummied up my 245/60/15 tires on the canso with 4.5 bs on 7" wide rim and there was lots of room. My tires are about 9" wide. Have talked to a few rod guys about 16" rims and they said dont bother, seems that they aren't making to many tire sizes in 16 anymore.
