I've got this really cool 1966 Simpson Sears tent trailer, the canvas appears original and quite good with a short rip in the peak (3-4 inches), the box is good, there are no mattresses - neat to restore, use as is - or even if you wanted a utility trailer just gut it (that would be a shame though)
I thought it would be cool around the house but my wife doesn't like it - I never completely set it up but appears complete
many uses if you have vision
$350

Crap! Exact trailer my family had! Parents bought it from Sears for about $500 bucks. Put it on their Sears card. When the bill came the trailer wasn't on it. Took my mom many phone calls to the credit department to convince them we had the trailer and they hadn't got their money. One of our first outings was to Rebecca Spit on Quadra island. Man that was a hot summer. Still have my parents [both 87 now] but the trailer is long gone.
my parents had one too. they paid $395 in 1969 (used) , I bugged the owner for this just to show it to my Dad- he passed away last year - I bought this in the spring-wish he could see it
seems everyone had one - people travelled all over the country with them
Looks very much like the trailer my aunt and uncle owned. July of 75 and we're headed for the Lakehead with a tent. Stop over night in Kapuskasing and my uncle offers us the use of their tent trailer. We accept the offer. April of 76 our first daughter is born. Always related the 2 things.
We owned a 1967 version of that Simpson Sears trailer. It was dark green and we took it to Expo 67 in Montreal and camped in cousin Herb & Madeline's driveway. It also saw Lake Traverse in Algonquin, Serpent Mounds on Rice lake, Cape Cod... We sold it in 1970 but I saw it again years later behind a VW bus. Meanwhile in 1970 we drove all the way to Vancouver Island, stopping in Edmonton at the factory to get a new Otto Prospector hardtop tent trailer. After that we went to Newfoundland, California, Florida many times...

I was talking to my mother last night, she said ours was bought in 67 also and went to Expo ! We took it to Cape Breton a few times too, up north to the parks etc...
