Beautiful car, I wonder who/why it was ordered with 335 H.P. rather than 390 H.P.??
Not bashing, just thinking out loud. confuse

Thanks
Randy

You don't see factory 4-speed Caprices very often. Hideaway lights too! The air cleaner is a freer flowing one like a 70-72 Z/28 or L78 L72 big car from 65-66.

Very nice ride.  I'm presuming it belongs to "John" that always seems to have a 68 or 69 big block b-body.  However, the rims make me think it may belong to someone more familiar.

A 427 4 speed Caprice is a rare piece indeed. My Theory is; "That the older muscle car freaks become..., the more valuable the full size muscle car becomes".
It's my thought anyways.
But I've always loved the Big Iron.

Nice car. I brought my son home from the hospital when he was born in 1975 in a 1969 Caprice 427 390 hp 4 speed. The only difference is mine  had a white vinyl top. Black with black interior. I think this is one of only 6 sold in Canada.

It is a good old Caprice, thought I would sell,  thinking I have way too many cars.

But when push came to shove could not do the deed. Glad I made that decision.

When I drive her its like going back in time, best car guy therapy Black 427 4 speed

Even at 45 years of age she still turns heads (maybe she's a cougar) lol

I know the feeling Wayne...........almost sold my Beaumont in 2002..........made the deal, took the purchaser

to my shop on Sunday and when I got inside said......."the deal is off, it's not for sale"

luckily had not exchanged money.........boy was that guy pissed..........he left, had to call a friend to drive me home

whew........that was close.......YIKES!

Carnut, that Caprice is awesome. What's it like to drive? I can't get my head around luxurious Caprice fullsize, plus that engine/trans combo...

Thats a good question, she is a bit like a boat. When I bought the car she had 60 series tires on the rear with 8 inch rims. Front 75 series on 6 inch rims. Car did not sit right and I thought a little greasy. Handled like poo. Put on 8 inch all 4 corners with 225 70 15 corker classics radials. New heavy duty shocks, with new bushing in front end etc.that helped a lot. Looking for a rear sway bar now.

She came with the 335/ 427, motor has been warmed up, nice lumpy cam etc. spend a fair amount of time on the exhaust to get the right look and note.

Car sounds wicked, not ratty or trashy, take a black, 427, 4 speed life is good.
