I see air injection lines. Was an air pump installed on Canadian Ponchos? For some reason I've always thought that was a California emissions requirement. I know they were frequently removed, and I can't recall seeing any on Canadian cars I but my memory isn't that good...

Was on manual transmission cars only. Also on 69 Beaumonts.
Seems strange it was on manual transmission cars only. Not sure I understand the logic there, unless maybe the manuals had more overlap on valve timing, which would create a rougher idle (maybe) and a 'dirtier' engine at low RPM's. I don't recall different engine specs for manual versus automatic (in terms of HP & torque).
Well at least he has no worries with the MOE if he comes east of London!!!! Really surprised the AIR & related pipes & valves are "still" on there!!!! WOW BTW the MOE are still at it in my area, 68 Beaumont got "busted" recently, 84 350 engine & "nothing" on it, 2 pages later of being written up!!!!!!!

Interesting that it is 390 H.P., I wonder if 390 H.P. was the 427 that was included when a 427 was ordered with a 2+2 like a 1969 Chevy SS 427. The black 1969 Caprice 4 speed in another link was the 335 H.P. version, but 390 H.P. was available on the Caprice, but standard on the SS 427.
