My friend's 66 SD has the black inlay (but I have no way to guarantee it's 100% correct)

Do you know if the indent before the point is long or short? Could mine be off a beaumont since it was hit in the front end. Would like to know so if I have the wrong ones I can start looking for the correct ones. Would think the indent should be the same on a 4dr as 2dr since there the same fender?

I don't think I have a good enough picture of his trim to tell.

Should I ask him for a closeup shot? You need a picture of the trim, right at the front edge of the fender, correct?

Just answerd my own question. Looked up Vancitytrev's car online. The long indent appears to be the correct trim, but his inlay is not colourd black. My inlay is black the whole lenght of the car and appears to be org. Thanks Carl, one less piece to look for. How's the dog? ( can't remember it's name) all settled in.

Murphy is great! We just love him and he has adapted very well. In the 21 years since we moved back to my family farm, we've had 5 dogs and he is by far the smartest of the 5. He's so easy to train. We easily taught him "sit" "stay" "out" "down" "no biting" (because he's a pup and he always wants to nibble at your hands, arms, legs, etc!) We have never had such an affectionate dog. When I sit on the step he climbs on to my lap the second I sit down. I should post a video some time of when I sweep the shed floor! He goes at the push broom, barks and barks at it, it's all a game. The kids and I have a riot with him, giving him milk jugs and 2 litre bottles and then trying to to chase him down with it in his mouth. He loves that game. He's also by the far the best we've ever had for staying away from vehicles when they come on the yard. Other pups never understood the danger but from day one he knew to stay back, away from a moving vehicle. He's already caught a few mice which makes me happy too, but the squirrels are too fast for him!

Sorry for the derail...!

Seems to me there was a discussion here a while back about the inlay colour and there were mixed replies as to black or plain on SD cars.

Sounds like a cross betweeen our last dog and the one we have now. The last dog used to attack the broom too and our new dog chases the plastic milk cartons all over the yard. Glad Murphy is a good fit for your family. No derail, I asked the question.

We've discovered we don't need store bought toys. Those milk and Coke bottles are renewed regularly and don't cost any extra. It's hilarious how they can chase those things for hours!

I had a junk car loaded on my car trailer to haul to the shredder but some complications came up and it sat in the yard for two weeks before I finally took it today. The car had no doors, no plastic or cloth left in the interior, basically just wire harnesses. Murphy stripped most of those out over the two weeks, they are all around the yard!

He would if I let him!

I was finding relays and plastic modules all over the place for a few days. He did a nice job removing the trunk mat in a thousand pieces too. With the back seat out and the trunk lid gone, he had lots of access to it.
