69 chevelle/ beaumont 4 speed pedals

Looking for a 4 speed pedal assembly for a 69. Anyone have a set laying around they want to part with?

You will need chevelle style that use a pin. The GTO style use a bolt in style. I got the gto style for mine and had to modify the upper bracket to except the bolt in style. Involved a bit of fabricating. If you get the correct chevelle pedal set you just remove the pin and brake pedal and install the new set with a longer supplied pin.

Looks like the pedals I have are from a GTO. should work if you install the complete bracket.

Ya I think it would work with the complete upper bracket. That's the part I was missing so I had to modify mine to work. I am missing the neutral safety or clutch start switch that you have on yours.

Just to show what was involved in converting the GTO style pedal set to a Chevelle / Beaumont style upper bracket and I would recommend just finding the correct upper bracket but I seem to have a lot of time on my hands and trying to save a buck.

Picture with stock Beaumont auto pin.

Parts I had to remove.

Large hole I now had to make smaller

PICT1881.JPG

Parts I hade to add and washers I hade to turn down on a lathe with a lip that would just fit in the larger hole.

Washer inserts added and spot welded in latter.

PICT1884.JPG

Bolted in just like the GTO style.

I no nobody will probably do this but just make sure you get the correct pedal set or complete with upper bracket or you will be doing the back yard mechanic stuff that I seem to always be doing.

FYI JerryA...if your still searching for parts.

See - 1968 Beaumont Restoration , Resurrection of a Classic www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php

- car came with everything imaginable to convert the Car to 4sp , I mean everything from Rebuilt M20 , to pedal pads , everything NEW
- current have everything listed on Craigslist , and have had a few Emails so far , found all the receipts for everything ,
he paid 3000 CND plus tax for everything
- Im keeping the car as an Automatic , really for the reason the 4sp setup can fund some of the other parts i need

Thanks everyone. I posted this wtb add to help a friend of a very good friend. 69Beaumont L48 sent me pictures of a pedal assembly he had for sale and I passed it on. The fella that needs these parts has not responded. I apologize for this and am about to give up helping him find the parts needed.

thanks again

No problem, I found something out about pedals I didn't know. It is surprising how GTO's and Chevelle's are different. If he does decide he wants them let me know.
