I LIKE THEM PLAIN , I LOVE BENCH SEATS , POVERTY CAPS,NO TRIM.
I HAVE THIS THING FOR A 4 DOOR 65 BISCAYNE 6 CYL STD DONT KNOW WHY ?
I've been using the dryer sheets, but beware that they'll stick to surfaces and damage the material! There's kind of a waxy coating that melts into whatever they're sitting on. I'm gong to put them down on a piece of paper towel or tin foil.
They seemed to work - no mice - but I have no way of knowing if the sheets are the reason.
Pick them up at the dollar store. Cheap insurance.
I've used bounce sheets for years (at least 20 years)... never had a mouse problem once I started using them, and they smell nice! I'll put a few on the floor, under the dash, and in the trunk, maybe 5-6 total sheets, that's it....I've never had them stick to anything. I use them in my car, RV and boat. If you already have an infestation in the car, or building then I'd also recommend getting some poison down to eradicate them.
......which bounce sheets work best ? I see they have unscented, with febreeze and others ? also good to plug the windshield pillar posts with steel wool or even spray in a shot of the expanding foam and it will seal the post and prevent them from getting up to the headliner.
Apparently the actual Bounce brand sheets would be best. The dollar store ones definitely stuck to the dash pad, seats and floor mats.
Just the standard scented ones will be what I'll be using.
.....well I have to say that this a a very bad year for mice here on the farm, they are everywhere. Last few weeks I been trapping them in machinery and vehicles. My 72 GMC one ton or 80 GMC 4x4 has never had a mouse in it, this year they chewed their way in someplace and are there big time. One day caught 7 in the one ton. In the combine cab, swather, even got in my 38 coupe. Tried Irish Spring soap bar years ago and that is a joke....they eat the stuff. So when I seen this thread about the Bounce sheets I figured I'll try it , bought a box put about 8-10 sheets all over inside and under the hood etc where I thought they may be getting in. Did it yesterday and checked this morning, you be the judge and tell me if these sheets work ? I didn't even take pics of everything , notice the one behind the gas pedal is still alive with his foot caught in the trap sitting on the sheet. !!
I would recommend not feeding them in the car... If you don't have any pets, I'd put some poison down seeing as you have quite an infestation. Put the traps around your garage, and just leave the sheets in the car.
Storing my Camaro tonite, I'll put bounce in the car, it may at least smell OK
in Spring. Storage is gravel floor bldg in country, claims to put poison around perimeter.
Hopefully no chewed up wiring or upholstery when I retrieve in April.
Agreed, bad year for mice. We've never had them in the cottage in 6 years we've owned it but we've trapped 2-3 this year.
At home, we are seeing lots of them, and lots of hawks which always means high mouse population. Usually the foxes flourish too then, which is cool.
I've tried Bounce, Ivory, etc but the best success I've had is a product we "used" to sell called Fresh Cab. It's recently banned in Canada (which seems very silly to me, long story...) so you have to find a US supplier. I used it in my Acadian for years when it was stored in an old farm shed.

Carl,Fresh Cab sounded like a great product.......so I emailed the supplier...apparently still available in Canada.
Were they pulled across Canada, or is it regulated by province?
I think herbicides and pesticides might vary from province to province, but I don't know for sure.
Westward parts told me it was awaiting Federal approval.
What a crock, it's a perfumed bag of corn that keeps mice away. Are we concerned the mice have allergies, or it might damage their flippin' sinuses when they go in to the farmer's combine cabs? Good grief...
