The guard at war memorial was killed with rifle by terrorist, then clown drove to parliament. Obvious to me allies havent dropped enough bombs to radicate these dirt bags. carry on boys, drop some more, let god sort them out.

Right now the downtown core is locked down, nothing is moving.

And, the power is out in the west end of the city, knocking out the traffic signals there and plants and offices in the dark.

R.I.P. to the soldier killed while on duty at the War Memorial.
Well Done Sgt at Arms!
I've had enough of these scumbags in our country. While you're online sometime in the next day or so send your Member of Parliament a message expressing your thoughts about how the government is handling these ISIL wannabes and their seemingly free access in and out of Canada and the inaction that is behind a lot of this.

Sorry for the political rant.
I'm done.

From what I understand, the gunman at the War Memorial and the gunman that was killed in the Parliament Buildings are 2 different guys.

When I lived in Ottawa in the late 80's, you could drive right up to the Parliament Buildings.  We used to park in behind by the library all the time when going to movies in the Rideau Center.

Watching news now, they apparently not sure if one or two. They reported one earlier, then guy drove to parliament and was inside parliment. Now they reporting guy walked to parliament through front doors.CBC showing a dash cam footage someone sent in, showing parked car on wellington and guy getting in car, same car found at parliment. The soldier, Cpl Nathan Cirillo 24, reservist volunteering was ambushed and murdered point blank range. Parliment Seargent at Arms, Kevin Vickers was packing heat, left his office, came back and reloaded. (my kind of politician)

My son was down here for my dads funeral, they(commanding officer) called him to see where he was and what he was doing, told him no uniforms off base(stationed in Petawawa ) That would be a ton of people for them to call! Glad they got the guy!

Is it me, or are people whacked?

Comments made http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/ottawa-shooting-stephen-harper-to-address-nation-1.2809530 seem to

show no respect for the Prime Minister, or the lose of a soldier's life, or the situation that occurred today.

We let this useless life into our country and give them all kinds of rights and freedoms, that they could never dream of in their own countries. They expect us to change our laws and traditions for them. Expect us to allow them to beat and even kill their women. We allow them to practice their useless religion, give them free health care and give them all the same rights and freedoms, that every other Canadian has. Then they want to kill us. Kill innocent people that never did any of them any wrong. When are world powers going to get tough and stop all Muslim emigration into countries like ours. Their hatred of our culture is just too insanely deep and it is generation after generation after generation. They have no appreciation or respect for any of our traditions. Are contently making demands that if we did the same thing in their countries, we would be beheaded. The common thing that many Muslims say, is that they do not agree with the killing but they understand why there are killings. That is speaking from both sides of their mouth. That is the same as agreeing that, the killings of our Canadian citizens and our American citizens is justified. How many innocent Canadians, Americans, Europeans have to die before world leaders get tough with this radical Muslim scum. Death is the only way to deal with people, that have no regard for other peoples lives. Their goal is world domination down the road and they will get it, if we continue to stay asleep at the wheel. George.

As a former Argyll,

I am sure Cpl Cirillo's family have been taken into the Regimental family's embrace during this trying time. Rest in Peace Brother.

Sad day for Canada, God bless and rest in peace Corporal Nathan Cirillo. Glad the s.o.b. that shot him got what was comming to him, even though I think he should have gotten a slow painfull death! God bless this country and my forefathers that fought for my freedoms I have today and the soldiers that fight for my freedoms of tomorrow.

Whole thing is sickening, especially when you think that these guys were known to authorities but nothing could be done to them.

Hopefully the rules will change and future suspects will be dealt with accordingly.

Maybe they need to start watching potential terrorists as closely has they watch pedophiles.  They already have a system in place for that.  Maybe we should now be arresting people for having contact with known terrorist organizations - then put 'em all on a barge in the middle of an ocean and give our navy an opportunity for target practice....

I know, it sounds a little extreme - I'm just tired of hearing of this pond scum living in our country taking advantage of all it has to offer, and then turning on its citizens.  furious

We need to get tougher on those who hate us for no reason other than we don't have the same (warped) belief system as theirs...
