Seems pretty close, maybe a bit high for mine. To determine my car's value, I calculated that when the resto cost is divided by 2, it's close to the appraised value. Then divide that number by 2 for an approx sale value. Basically, less than 1/4 of what was put in to it seems to be close.
For my '73 LeMans the range is $1,850 to $16,650, Mid point is $7,400. My last appraisal was at $16,800 I have always thought that I'd be lucky to get $3,000 for it.

These are good guidelines but I think the price is best determined but the eagerness of the buyer or the seller. My car was appraised in 2012 at $15,000. I let the auction expire and offered a take it or leave it price and I still probably paid too much
$7,800 is a bit low for my driver but a I could not get it to the 6 rating($10,400) without spending at least $5,000 so a driver she will stay.
I like the production numbers at the bottom of the page.
They could get more complete information from Canadian Poncho
I didn't realize a '67 Beaumont SD came with a 230 in it. Who would take out a factory 396 and put in a 230? Mine turned out not too far off, they rate a #8 at around $35,000 with the 4 speed, a bit low but close to my appraisal.

It's interesting however like most price guides there are omissions and likely mistakes. For example I tried to look up the 59 Dodge Royal D500 that I had. No Royal 2 door hardtop is listed (just Custom Royal) and there was no "add for D500 or Super D500 option" which in reality will often double the value of the car.
Thanks for the link but i really wonder how good it is. The old car market really sucks big time these days. No doubt it is a buyers market and my heart really goes out to folks, that have to sell their oldie because of economic dire straits.

736 vin early SD prior to dec 66 would be base with a 230, then 283/327 and finally an L34 396 (same like the 1966 model year) , L35 didn't show up as base until the 738 vin car with the L34 as an option

Hi Ken - my original 1967 Beaumont sales brochure only lists the 396-325 HP big block (aka L35), in the Sport Deluxe model...adding to the confusion, straight from GM.
If the higher HP L34, came before the L35 - seems to contradict GM of Canada literature.
- if ordering the big block, I thought the early cars only had the L35 initially, and later the L34 (+25HP) would become optional, rendering the lower HP L35 the base 396 motor
- to bad, the L78 was never offered in our Canadian S/D model...like the Chevelle S/S...sure would have been ultra rare today
Also:
a) Can an early 736 vin Beaumont with only "Custom trim", 283-V8 and strato bucket seats/console somehow be considered an early S/D without the Sport Deluxe trim?
- or its truly a Custom model, with just the Sport Deluxe interior option
b) In 1967, was the L34 blocks all #961 (2 bolt main) or any Sport Deluxe cars come with #962 (4 bolt main)?
Thanks, Larry
The L35 was rated 325 HP @4800 RPM and had 410 ft-lbs of torque @4800rpm
The L34 was rated 350 HP @5200 RPM and had 415 ft-lbs of torque @3400rpm
GM advertised the 1967 L78 396 as 375 HP, in the Chevelle S/S

Sales brochures are a good source of information however they have been shown to be inaccurate in many instances. The reason is because of the lead time required to produce printed materials in those days. Most brochures have a date, month/year printed on the back cover. There is another thread on here where we have posted some colossal brochure fails, like the 1970 Mote Carlo Convertible, or 1973 LeMans with 455 SD, both never were produced.
Would be nice to have one of these but there was no such thing. No custom sd396 cars at all built. Also no convertible sd cars. The SD was a optioned out Deluxe car 3437 hardtop and 3427 two door sedan. But when I put the 396 in my custom there will be one. LOL
I appreciated this guide listing the Acadian and in such detail. Although the only listing shown was for an Acadian Beaumont 3 seat model wagon w/194 6cyl, I sent an email to the guide in order to share the info on my historical services letter. With 2 seat total production of 626 I'm sure my car would be listed as VR and I felt the values were very realistic.

I have to agree, the few vehicles that I have at least a bit of knowledge on as to value, I feel that is quite in line with pricing.

I just looked at the copy I printed of the January 2013 issue and the values are exactly the same as October 2014! At least the page for the 67 Parisienne family. Is that accurate?
