My 1957 Pontiac Pathfinder Deluxe sedan after i bought it (1996). Old photos.

I bought my present 1957 Pontiac Pathfinder Deluxe sedan in 1996 and i took these photos just shortly after. I just converted the 35 mm photo images of my 57 Pontiac to j peg form for the computer. I added the restored photos as a comparison. George.

Very nice George. It looks like it was a very solid car to start with. What a great end result, I can see why you would enjoy driving it so much.

The air filter (paper element) that fits perfect in the oil bath is a Canadian Tire air filter #23-3188-2.

The full size wheel covers on the car now are original 1957 Pontiac full wheel covers. The full size wheel covers that were standard on the Laurentian, were a dealer accessory option on the Pathfinder Deluxe and Pathfinder models. They would be correct for my car and they class up the car.

Thanks for the kind words. The car was an Alberta car that had an amazingly solid body. That was the original colour combination and i wish i had left the car that way. The car was a true Canadian survivor with everything original, except for the old repaint. I should have left the car the way it was, except for adding all the options, the detail and the mechanical rebuilds. I also would have saved a fortune if i had never rechromed everything, repainted the car and changed the interior. Live and learn i guess but i still love her. George.

......wow - great car George......I've seen your silver 57 at cruises......another beauty

my first car was a 57 4 door 283 4 bbl and 3 speed......my brother gave it
to me in high school in 1963........put a set of Hedman Hedders on it and it was the local terror......

enjoy the ride and don't change a thing

Beautiful car!

Now that I have another 57 in the yard....I'm regretting selling my surplus after I sold my 57 hardtop....oh well...just means I have to beat the bushes some more...hehe..

I have had the pleasure to see your car in person and I like the silver combination you have now. Great original pictures George.
