69 Parisienne convertible front end.

Hello,

I am new to your site.

Chris at NOS reproductions steered me your way.

I am not sure how to nav. your site yet.

I need some front end parts but seem to be having a heck of a time figuring out what other models offer up the same parts.

My lower front control arms have one bushing , everything I see has two.

I also need the strut rod bushings at front .

Can someone please help me.

Regards

Jerome

Welcome to the site. Gorgeous 'vert'. You will find tons of info here and don't be afraid to ask questions.

For most if not all chassis components the quick and easy is to reference Chev full size. Some with a more intimate knowledge will pipe in soon.

Welcome to the site, clean looking 69!

Like dneric said.

On line, or at a parts counter when looking for chassis parts for your Canadian Pontiac, always specify 1969 Impala.

Truth is, I've gotten to the point that I never even mention the word "Pontiac" anymore when ordering chassis parts. The USA and our Canadian Pontiac share nothing underneath.

I think strut rod and front control arm bushings can still be found at your local carquest. There are on line sites that offer complete rebuild kits, usually in poly.

We'll help you as best we can, you've come to the right place.

Here's some Moog numbers;

Strut Rod Bushing        - K6092

Upper Cont arm bush   - K5196

Upper Cont arm shaft  - K6104

Lower Cont arm bush   - K6134

Upper Ball joint          - K6034

Lower Ball joint          - K6035

Stabilizer links, ACDelco -456000

Hint; If you do replace the front lower arm bushings, make sure the shell gets tacked in place. The shell will never press fit in the arm tight enough second time round, and will back out.

Here's a shot of mine 2 years after replacing, you can clearly see how it moved. And an example of tacking in a shell.

Here's a link to my Flickr site, B body Chassis 65-70. A pile of suspension related shots.

Cheers and good luck.

You guys are great!

Thanks so much for your info and hospitality!

I am out driving the car today with the top down. It's 2 degrees. I can't help it...I love my car.

I bought it in May and took three weeks off work to give it a make over. I did everything myself including the paint.

After the front end it will be to switch out my exhaust with shorties and 2.5 inch pipes.

Thanks again!

Welcome to the site! Very nice car indeed.

I re-did my entire exhaust all chrome and stainless. It looks good and probably even better on white!

Welcome to the site from Alberta. That is a sweet looking ride you have. As you can see, the people on the site have years of experience and loads of knowledge about Pontiacs, plus we are all ready to lend a hand where we can.

When you click "Reply" your message is added to this topic (also known as a "thread"). You can send private messages by clicking on a members username and then selecting "Send Message" under the "Private Messaging" header. There's a category called "Member's Cars" where you can start a topic about your car.

Hi and welcome. I have a 67 Impala 2 door hardtop and have an extra set of eurothane strut rod bushings along with the special castelated nuts. (The ones with the dimples in them to keep them from loosening.) I can ship them to you if you feel that they will fit. N/C Cliff
