Almost done with the block sanding. Getting close to doing the jambs than final prep for paint. It's getting close now. So much little things to do before final sand going to be a busy weekend. I get excited every time I see some more paint go on
Another busy morning. getting things done so we can close the door and seal the jambs. Tow truck is booked for Saturday to flatbed it up to the paint booth
Another busy day. Now for final assembly and adjustments of the front clip and scuff it all down for paint. It's coming along and we are so very excited after 2 long years anticipating the colour combo
Thanks for the kind words everyone, I needed them today. Off to a rough start with only 2 days to go. Started the morning off with driving the convertible over the nose for the wagon. Good news from a good friend who is a master of metal, he will fix it for me and it will be salvaged. i don't see any damage under the convertible. I put it away yesterday and thought that perhaps in front of the car was not a safe place. Lesson learned.
on the positive side. I got the hood and fenders all lined up and fastened down. Most of the car is in final sand and just about ready for the trip to the paint booth. Hopefully I will get a decent sleep tonight and have a bttter day tomorrow
Almost done. All into 400 sanding and 800 scuff have to just dust some primer over some thin spots and scuff them again the load up and head off to paint.
We did it. Got everything together to get it completed and loaded and up to the paint booth. We were able to get the roof painted and the body painted but have to go back for clear as humidity was causing issues so we stopped before we wrecked anything.
