Some wagon updates finally... seats getting torn apart gearing up to send the covers out to have the new covers made. We got the rear opening primed and painted today.
Nice work! Gotta get me some of those side gravity bungees!
If you think those are cool you should check out that sideways tool box too

Making some Easter progress this weekend. New and improved dash decor. I am having some cherry wood inserts made to set off the dash a little so I am about as far as I can go until they are ready

I am quite happy with this wheel. It is the second one we have restored now and was the worse one full of cracks. It's not perfect but pretty close. By the third one we should be pros... decided to tu-tone the wheel even though it should be one colour but we are putting a ermine white roof on the car and a white headliner in the car so we thought this would be a nice touch to tie it all in together. We have decided on birch wood inserts for the dash to be finished in a high gloss Mahoganny finish. They are in the hands of my buddy who has a cnc laser. Can wait to see who's it all looks. We will then be installing a factory am/fm radio that has been modified to accept satelite radio as we did not want to install and regular antenna on this car.
We did discover the factor power window switch was being used to power an old alpine amp and the defroster switch to operate the aftermarket rear cargo lights. Keep an eye out in the forsake threat. I will clean them up and see what they are worth and post them for someone in need to we can buy goodies we need.

Started installing the real birch veneer with mahogany stain in the dash today. I am quite happy with the look so far. Something different than the rest. A nice little personal touch .

So getting exited. Just received these photos today from our interior people to confirm we are happy and to let us know it's time to ship out our panels to have them overhauled. So getting excited now. Things are coming together

Long day yesterday. Sorting out wiring that had been played with under the dash. I'll say it was nice that it was not hacked just had lots of things added using crimp on plugs and things out of place to make some old 80s stereo system work. Many hours later we have everything working as it should except the some lights and dash lights. The instrument label keeps popping the fuse while the cigarette lighter and ash tray ligh up. Can't find a short bit there has to be one there. Intermittent power supply to the fuse panel. So going to order a new headlight switch. If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear as I had to give up last night. Good news is we powered up the returned am/fm unit for the first time and it sounds great
Ok had some similar problems on my 64, check the dimmer switch, I replaced the headlight switch, dimmer switch and wiper switch, so no more problems. I had my headlights go out last night and it turned out to be the firewall block below the power brake booster, a little wiggle and lights worked again.
