Ty, you are one lucky guy to find that car. As for the purchasing experience, well played! As for the modifications, you wisely decided to retain the stock features while carefully concealing some tasteful upgrades. Indeed the seller sold it to the right person!

My dad was a salesman for Mid West Motors in 1966,Did you happen to get the original bill of sale with it?
There are two different names on the bill of sale. First last name is "King" and the other is hard to tell from the signature but it looks like "Miller"? Ty
Great to see another beautiful 1966 Parisienne 2dr hardtop, looks a lot like mine. Love the BB in it! I can only wish. Followed your early posts just after you got the car, so it is good to see the finished project. Good luck and enjoy the years to come cruising the highways and byways.
Ty,
I was in shock to read your story and notice the Sask licence plate. My first car was the same thing in forest green. The guy who has it wont sell it back to me, it lives in Yorkton. I have been actively cruising the web and this site first 2 times a week for 3 years and have found tons of convertables in 66, tons of 65's and tons of 66 grand prix's. But so far never a 66 CS ( or a catalina2+2) with a big block.
And then you have this one right in the province drop into your lap. I am so jealous. What a gorgeous car. SO sexy. You lucky , lucky ............
If you ever get tired of it there is a garage in Saskatoon that would treat it like a princess.

Sweet ride Ty........love the big block full size cars.
Your detailing is perfect, love the stock factory look with those wheels.......
it just looks right........enjoy the ride

.....well Dec is almost gone, and I'm going to miss looking at this awesome 66 at top of the page. Great example of a 66 that I'm gathering parts for and is on my list of " I want one ". Hope to see it real someday if ever in Regina.
My wife gave me a large picture of my car to hang in my office for Christmas. I really enjoy/appreciate having this as the December feature car and
dig seeing a different feature car every month. The thing that really made me happy is that my car is by no means a show car and is basically my daily driver for the summer months weather permitting.
Having "good from far but far from good" examples of Canadian Pontiac history showcased is really a good way to
perpetuate and enjoy rare Canadian muscle, if I waited to get everything perfect paint etc it may never get done and I would not enjoy it half as much.
