PontiacRegistry.com

I received a reminder today, that my subscription to Pontiac Registry.com is due in March confuse

I forgot I had even registered confuse, and didn't remember my user name (which is 427stratochief) so I must have registered after 2006...

The moderator replied to me very fast, and got me, my user name and password... The site has a "cost" of  $12.95

He mentioned they have a forum/spot for CANADIAN cars wink

I try to constantly support the "only" true Canadian Pontiac site!!  and (Beaumonts and Acadians)

but "I think" it might be interesting to "promote the Canadian site" in the USA...

There are a lot of "sources" (used parts, southern sheetmetal etc ,)there,

and we are seeing a lot of Americans, who own Canadian Pontiacs, and Beaumonts, and Acadians..

Many of them do not know of "us"......

just a thought   don't freak out ........

Carl, like you sir i also am a member of that Pontiac organization. Larry is a great guy to deal with and there is no doubt that PONTIAC REGISTRY is a class act. They have an incredible wealth of all things Pontiac and then some but they are not a Canadian Pontiac source that really amounts to anything. Both you and i are really the only real contributors to that site, concerning Canadian Pontiac material. Larry with all due respect to him has tried but there is no interest in Canadian Pontiac's through that great Pontiac site. My 57 Pontiac was featured in March 2014 and your present and past Canadian Pontiac's were on the site and there was luke warm interest at best. I have a free membership for two years because i contributed with my article on my 57 Pontiac and for that i am very thankful to Larry. I will continue to be a member for now but there is no comparison between them and Canadian Poncho. I find PONTIAC REGISTRY great if you want some real major Pontiac information on all the history and then some. With CANADIAN PONCHO not only is it  more Canadian Pontiac friendly it is also more people friendly in the member to member interactions. Cheers. George.

FYI......Larry Kummer....of the Pontiac Registry.... was the editor of Smoke Signals , POCI's monthly newsletter/magazine for at least 20 years...prior to establishing the Registry....

As I recall.....his Florida based printing company also published Smoke Signals for POCI....for many years....

After a "falling out" with POCI directors....he created the Pontiac Registry.....about 10 years ago

He's a SUPER guy....and VERY perserverant on promoting the Registry.....but it hasn't really taken off as "the" Pontiac site for American Pontiac's

PY Forums...now run by Ames...is really the dominant Pontiac site....and POCI's Smoke Signals has won best Pontiac magazine....by default.....as all the others have folded....

I've let MY POCI membership lapse....but am planning on renewing....as we ALL should support the ONLY Pontiac specific monthly publication...

I was on with larry for a yr. or so, he did an article on My 64 2+2 as well, after I dropped out of POCI, found POCI too political [ read too many cliks. of members] & had issues with show car members at convention in 2005!!! I'll stick right here!!!!

I gave up on POCI a number of years ago as well, because not enough of the old stuff for me in the club magazine "Smoke Signals". Too many GTO's and Firebirds for my liking. Larry is no longer with POCI and is doing his own thing with the Pontiac Registry. I think Larry is a great guy to deal with and i wish him all the luck with his own site. I enjoy the Pontiac Registry because there is so much amazing Pontiac stuff on there. You could spend your whole life on there and still not have enough time to read everything. I agree with dual quad Pete about the POCI being too "political" and many of them are very elitist in attitude. Please do not confuse POCI with Pontiac Registry and give Larry a fair chance. Cheers. George.

George, so it's just not me that has the same opinion of the "elitist's"???  Larry seems like a very likable gentleman & after he left POCI I tried to help him out with a article, He did a "bang" up job & I kept that issue in the Catalina & displayed it proudly with the car!!!
